This collection is inspired by the film "Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea", a 2008 Japanese animated film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. The plot centers on a goldfish named Ponyo who befriends a five-year-old human boy, Sōsuke, and wants to become a human girl.

Ponyo is swimming across the imperial seal of japan, Chrysanthemums. It was first cultivated in China, renowned as one of the Four Gentlemen in East Asian art.
